The XVIII Congress of the Czech Society of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Medicine

Our company organized the XVIII Congress of the Czech Society of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Medicine. The event took place in the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague from the 6th to the 8th of October 2011.

The congress was held under the auspices of the Mayor of Prague Mr Bohuslav Svoboda, Doc. MUDr., CSc., the Vice-Minister of Health Mr Vítězslav Vavroušek, MUDr. MBA and the Deputy of Parliament of the Czech Republic Mr Jiří Štěstěna, MUDr..

This year’s attendance consisted of 927 participants. There were 448 doctors, 247 non-medical sanitary workers, 37 participants with one-day registration, 134 exhibitors and 61 students from medical faculties.

The congress attendees came from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and even Czech medics from abroad came. There were also foreign speakers from Austria, Great Britain, Romania, the USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Malta invited.

The professional program took place in 7 parallel sections divided into 6 medical sections and one section dedicated to non-medical professions.

During the first congress day there was a social evening “In the Rhythm of Swing” in nineteen twenties style in the National House in Vinohrady. The program took place in 3 halls including the main hall where there was a performance by the Havelka Sisters, a Charleston dance tutorial and a pair dancing competition. The attendees could also try their luck at the roulette table or could even play poker. In the second hall the band Gambit performed music for everyone to dance to and in the third hall there was a dance simulator, a formula 1 exhibition and a shooting-range available.

The event was carried out very successfully and we look forward to seeing all of you at the next XIX Congress of CSARIM in Hradec Králové from the 13th to the 15th of September 2012.
