EUROPEAN HABITAT: We Were Part Of A Special UN Conference In Prague
We were more than pleased to be an organizational partner for the regional UN conference, “European Habitat”, which was recently held in Prague. The topic of the conference was “Housing in Liveable Cities”, which took place from March 16th to 18th, 2016 at the Prague Congress Centre.
Several prominent foreign personalities and speakers were in attendance and delegations from 56 countries had the possibility to meet each other in workshops, expert discussions and accompanying events. The Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic had taken the role of host.
“European Habitat” was an international regional conference organized within the framework of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). It was one of five regional commissions of the United Nations bringing together 56 member countries from Europe, the Balkans, North America and part of Asia. The event was an official part of the preparations for the third global UN Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, “Habitat III”, which is being held in Ecuador in October 2016.
