Can the uterus be transplanted or what are the limits of current transplantation treatment?
From June 8th to 9th, the first postgraduate symposium of the Society for Organ Transplantation CLS JEP took place in Mikulov. Experts primarily focused on the subject: "what are the limits of current transplantation treatment?“
The meeting followed the successful SOT Congress, which was held in the spring of 2016 in Špindlerův Mlýn, and was attended by 400 participants from all over the Czech Republic, Slovakia and abroad. This year´s professional meeting was held in the beautiful South Moravian town, Mikulov, at the Galant Hotel.
The program of the postgraduate symposium was divided into four blocks, all of which had common themes. Parallel interactive workshops in cooperation with a group of young transplantologists were also part of the program as well as two partner symposiums and a general meeting of members of the SOT CLS JEP.
Within the symposium, the lecture on uterine transplantation was presented for the first time to the Czech audience.
A special one-day section was prepared in cooperation with the Czech Association of Nurses for nurses and non-medical staff.
A special acknowledgement belongs to Professor Ondřej Viklický, the key person for the program which received highly positive feedback from the delegates. We also want to give thanks to all of the other speakers who added immense value to the event.
In total, 310 experts took part in SOT 2017 Symposium.
