Not only will the Royal Wedding guests gather in London during the next few days, but 560 doctors will also commence there as well at the Congress of the European Laryngological Society
The 12th Congress of the European Laryngological Society organized by GUARANT International takes place in London, England from May 16 to 19, 2018. Delegates from all over the world meet at the unique venue - the Queen Elizabeth II Centre.
The conference presents some of the latest breakthroughs in laryngology and related disciplines. The keynote lectures are focused on topics including anesthetic management of difficult airway, idiopathic subglottic stenosis (narrowing of a specific portion of the windpipe below the vocal cords) in adults, injury of recurrent laryngeal nerve after thyroidectomy (removal of the thyroid gland), or the new therapeutic fields in neurolaryngology.
The scientific programme is designed to bring together both young and experienced scientists from all regions of the world, and ideally to open up ways for research and collaborations both at regional and global levels. Delegates can also look forward to 13 instructional courses and two video sessions which will focus on the oncological methods in laryngeal surgery (as one example).
The Congress takes place at the largest conference center in London, right across from the Westminster Abbey - this excellent location of the area provides a perfect background for the leading experts.
